Objective:Under general supervision, this position assists the Director of Safety with the organization and execution of safety directives at the organization by assisting with the coordination of organization policies, recommendations of Dycom safety consultants, and federal and state agencies.What youll getWeekly PaychecksPaid Time Off, Parental Leave, and HolidaysInsurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance)401(k) w/ Company MatchStock Purchase PlanEducation ReimbursementLegal InsuranceDiscounts via PerkSpot.comResponsibilities include:Assist with the development and maintenance of proactive safety programs to ensure a safe and injury-free work environment, including policies, OSHA regulations, required training, and ergonomics.Report and investigate accidents and near misses; conduct safety audits with department supervisors, managers, and directors.Coordinate with the Director of Safety, Hiring Managers, and Safety Leads on new hire safety orientation and other training programs.Serve as a resource for safety information within the organization under the Director of Safety''s guidance.Assist with maintaining all Safety Data Sheets.Complete annual safety training.Collaborate with the Director of Safety to communicate and train on safety policies and compliance.Help implement and maintain PPE programs.Participate in safety and environmental audits, and follow up on corrective actions.Develop and distribute safety reports, analyze safety trends, and track incidents.Support recruitment for safety-related positions.Manage PPE assignments.Assist in managing workers'' compensation and ensure safety, health, and welfare of employees.Coordinate driver qualification processes in line with DOT, FMCSA, and company policies.Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and maintain driver files in RAIR.Maintain an active driver list and manage the safety LMS system.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor''s degree in safety and health or related field, or equivalent experience.1-2 years of safety and health experience preferred.Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations.Understanding of state Workers'' Compensation laws.Preferred knowledge of HIPAA compliance.Proficiency in written communication and office software.Ability to read, review, and communicate effectively in English.High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and ethics.Strong organizational and coordination skills, familiarity with company procedures.Good grammar and communication skills; ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and handle sensitive information.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).Knowledge of local, state, and federal DOT regulations.Why work with usYour career here is more than just a job it''s your pathway to opportunity.
