Tasks: Design and Implement Snowflake Solutions: Develop and maintain Snowflake data warehouse architecture. Manage Snowflake Accounts: Oversee multiple accounts across various cloud providers. Resource Management: Set up and manage warehouses, resource monitors, and optimize usage. Access Control: Implement role-based access control and manage access patterns. Data Sharing: Configure and manage Snowflake Secure Data Share, Data Consumers, and Partner Connect. Database Replication: Create and manage replicated databases, handle failover/failback processes. Feature Implementation: Implement and explain improvements in public and private preview features. Release Management: Communicate and manage Snowflake releases, handle deprecated features. Programming: Utilize SQL, Shell Scripting, and Python for data manipulation and automation. Cloud Integration: Integrate Snowflake with AWS and other cloud technologies. Supervision: Lead and supervise cross-functional or delivery teams. Technical Interaction: Interact with senior personnel on technical matters. Problem Solving: Address complex data-related problems with innovative solutions. Project Management: Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Requirements: ~ Minimum of 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in Computer Science, IT, programming/systems analysis, or other related experience. ~6+ years of data warehousing and relational database experience (Snowflake, Oracle, or PostgreSQL). ~ Experience in managing multiple Snowflake accounts, preferably using multiple cloud providers. ~ Understanding of Snowflake usage, warehouse management, and setting appropriate resource monitors. ~ Knowledge of role-based access control, best practices regarding Snowflake roles setup, and access patterns. ~ Understanding and setting up Snowflake Secure Data Share, Data Consumers, and Partner Connect. ~ Ability to create replicated databases, demonstrate database replication, and handle database failover/failback. ~ Experience in implementing and explaining improvements in public and private preview features to users. ~ Ability to communicate and manage Snowflake releases, especially when features are deprecated in monthly releases. ~ Strong programming skills in SQL, Shell Scripting, and Python. ~ Experience in AWS and cloud technologies in general, with knowledge of data warehousing concepts. ~ Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience or cross-functional or delivery team lead experience. ~ Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on technical matters. ~ Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to provide technical solutions to complex data-related problems. ~ Knowledge of project and system development methodologies, especially Agile. ~ Knowledge of operating systems, relational database architectures, query languages and interfaces, standard programming environments, data integration tools, application integration solutions, and web-based information solutions. ~ Excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels. ~ A bachelors or masters degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related fields. ~ Prior vendor management experience preferred. ~ Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
