Description
redalpine is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Investment Manager/Principal to join their team and lead investment activities for the redalpine Summit Fund. As the Summit Fund primarily targets later-stage/pre-IPO investments, while also investing in portfolio winners from our early-stage fund, we are seeking a talented individual with a proven track record in sourcing, scaling, and exiting later-stage businesses, along with an extensive network within the VC ecosystem. Demonstrating a strong entrepreneurial mindset paired with outstanding network-building skills and a commitment to high performance, you will be responsible for guiding high-quality deal flow, performing due diligence, executing investment transactions, and managing portfolio companies to support their effective growth and exit.
Responsibilities
- Investment Process: Manage all steps of the investment process, from deal sourcing, valuation, and due diligence to leading transactions and deal closing.
- Portfolio & Liquidity Management: The Summit Fund is an evergreen structure that continuously re-evaluates its portfolio composition and manages fund-level liquidity.
- Industry Network & Representation: Leverage and expand your network to identify promising investment themes and individual opportunities among early and growth-stage funds. Represent redalpine and promote the Summit Fund in various capacities and roles.
- Trusted Partner for Value Creation: Support mature portfolio companies in addressing various challenges and needs throughout their journey to success.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: Demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial spirit, sense of ownership, and the willingness to build and develop new initiatives from the ground up required to scale a new venture fund.
Qualifications
- Excellent academic track record in Finance, Economics, Natural Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent from a top tier university.
- 4+ years of previous experience with full-cycle investment management, including board exposure, in growth funds or private equity.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on experience in building and scaling companies.
- Prior experience in portfolio management and liquidity management, with a focus on optimizing returns and ensuring financial stability in a late-stage investment environment.
- Extensive network in the VC ecosystem with a focus on growth-stage, which you are continuously expanding.
- Independent, proactive, goal-oriented and tenacious: You thrive in challenging situations and you learn fast.
- Strength in organization, structured analytical thinking, and process management.
- Open-minded, communicative and outgoing team player.
