Summary:

We are hiring a full-time Sr. Software Engineer to develop and enhance software applications, ensuring they meet customer needs and business requirements. You will collaborate with Product and Customer Success teams, identifying and solving application issues, designing new features, and maintaining and extending existing ones. You will also mentor junior engineers and ensure code quality through testing and reviews. The ideal candidate has extensive Ruby web development experience, proficiency in Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, Python, and AWS Serverless Application Model, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and thrives in fast-paced environments.

What Success Looks Like

In 3 months

• Become familiar with all team applications and details of our business.

• Build healthcare industry knowledge.

• Build new capabilities based on product requirements.

• Conduct code reviews.

In 6 months

• Participate in the design and estimation processes.

• Develop a new feature independently.

• Be a strong partner with Product and Support.

• Suggest ideas for future enhancements.

What You Need:

• 5 + years of web development experience in Ruby.
• Degree in Computer science related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with SQL and fundamentals of database design.
• Familiar with Python, and AWS Serverless Application Model.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of judgment and creativity in designing innovative solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly evolving environments.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment, ensuring high-quality virtual interactions with minimal distractions.
• The ability to travel periodically or frequently for work.
