Responsibilities Alibaba Cloud Data Center team islooking for a passionate, results-oriented, candidate to drive theimplementation of data center projects. S/he should thrive incollaborative, cross-functional environments to manage bothinternal and external stakeholders to tackle the challenges indesigning and building Alibaba data center facilities. The programmanager is responsible for project oversights and review inarchitectural, electrical, mechanical and IT equipment deploymentby providing direction, coordination, control on the team to ensureconsistency with global technical standards and business goals. Keyresponsibilities include Own the deployment of Alibaba overseasdata center. Partner with several stakeholders such as capacityplanning, engineering, operation, procurement and finance team toensure the successful delivery of infrastructure. Manage multiplevendors to track progress, identify risks and solve problemsthroughout the project. Be responsible for the project delivery intargeted schedule, cost and quality. Own initiatives tostandardise global process of project management and improve thedeployment methodologies to optimize the schedule. Identifydefects or waste in our deployment processes, and drive newprocesses and software automation to eliminate the defects andprevent them from recurring without posing risk to availability.Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 5+ years experiencemanaging projects in data centers or comparable criticalinfrastructure. 5+ years experience in Construction or ProjectManagement. 5+ years experience in Vendor Management. Excellentwritten composition and verbal communication skills. Highattention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple,competing priorities simultaneously. Ability to think and reactin a high energy, fast paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Masters Degree in Engineering, Project Management, ConstructionManagement or a related technical discipline. Expertise in one ormore of the following areas: large colocation deals, site selectionfor industrial-scale projects, real estate evaluation, acquisition,development, and construction, negotiating or managing utilityagreements, financial modelling. Demonstrated ability tounderstand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs,evaluate new ideas with a variety of internal and externalstakeholders. Proven track record for being detail-oriented witha demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through onprojects. Excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent writtenand verbal communications across technical and non-technicalstakeholders and experience presenting to senior executives. Significant experience successfully delivering results in a fastpaced, dynamic environment. English speaking and listening skillsare required as role will need to collaborate with the team in HQChina, Chinese is a plus.
