ROLE OVERVIEW The Regional Finance Manager role willreport to the Regional Managing Director and be responsible foroverseeing financial operations, strategy and reporting within theregion. (currently, France, Germany, Spain, Scandinavia, Benelux,Italy, Romania and local branch in Morocco) This will includefinancial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis to supportthe regions strategic objectives. The role will carry dualresponsibility, split between the Regional Finance Manager rolewith responsibility for all countries within the Western Europeregion, plus additional direct responsibility for one of the largercountries within the region eg. Germany, France. The role will leada small team of financial professionals directly in the allocatedcountry, plus indirectly across the remaining regional countries,providing guidance, direction, and support to drive financialperformance and transformation across the region. KEY TASKS &RESPONSIBILITIES - Serve as a key financial advisor and businesspartner to regional leadership, providing financial insights tosupport business decisions and drive growth and profitability forthe region. Develop and maintain strong relationships with keystakeholders, including country managers and Group HQ. - Overseethe preparation, presentation and consolidation of accurate andtimely financial/statutory reporting for the region includingmonthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuringcompliance with local policies and group requirements ie. GAAP,GPS. - Ensure timely production, quality and analysis of monthlymanagement accounts explaining key trends and potential risks andopportunities. - FP&A Lead the monthly reporting, annualbudgeting, quarterly QBR and rolling forecasting process, providinginsightful analysis and recommendations to support strategicdecision making. - Lead the audit process including full engagementwith external auditors. - Ensure compliance with local taxregulations, statutory requirements and internal controls. -Contribute to the strategic planning and development of thebusiness as a key member of the Western Europe Leadership Team andintegral support to the Western Europe Managing Director. -Continuous Improvement - Drive process optimization and efficiencyinitiatives within the finance function, - Financial management ofcapital expenditure projects, including evaluation and monitoring.- Review ongoing financial performance of all active projectsagainst budget and assist project managers to correctly account fortheir costs. - Cash Flow Management Oversee regional cash flowand liquidity positions, optimizing working capital management andinvestment strategies. - Provide leadership, guidance andmentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture ofcollaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, professionaldevelopment and high performance. - Work closely with the Group CFOand Head of Group Finance to optimize performance across theRegion. - QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE - Recognizedprofessional accountancy qualification ie. ACCA, CIMA, CPA. -Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration,or related field (MBA desirable). - Proven knowledge of WesternEurope accounting principles, practices and standards. - Experienceof Project-Based/Contract accounting. - Experience of working as aRegional Finance Manager/Head of Finance within Western Europe. -People manager with a proven track record of leading change andmotivating teams. - Knowledge of implementing new softwareapplications would be advantageous. - High level of integrity anddependability - Excellent analytical and modelling skills, with theability to interpret and analyse data to make informed andinsightful business recommendations to influence the direction ofthe business. - Previous engineering or business services sectorexperience is desirable. - CORE EXPECTATIONS - Excellentcommunication/interpersonal skills with fluency in English and atleast one of German or French. - Proactive change manager with adrive to investigate, understand and improve processes andreporting. - Self-motivated and able to work effectively in afast-paced environment. - Have a positive and focused attitude whendealing with all colleagues. - Able to work well in a team acrossmultiple business functions. - Be keen to continuously improve ownlearning and development. - Support and embed the groups corporatevalues. - Proficient user of Excel and accounting softwareapplications. WORKING ARRANGEMENTS Full time job (5 days / week) asnecessary for the proper fulfilment of the role. Based in France(59-Saint Amand Les eaux) or Germany (Wendelstein Nurnberg).
