Role Summary
The Industrial Site Lead will oversee the full scope of operations at a key manufacturing site in Northern France. This role combines leadership in industrial production, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance with strategic thinking and people management. It is ideal for a candidate experienced in API manufacturing, green chemistry, and large-scale industrial leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Industrial Operations & API Production
- Lead full lifecycle management of API production in compliance with GMP and sustainability targets.
- Optimize processes using green chemistry principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ensure seamless transition of new products from development to full-scale production.
Strategy & Site Leadership
- Define and execute site strategy aligned with broader company objectives.
- Serve as a key point of coordination between R&D, production, regulatory, and commercial functions.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and performance.
- Lead organizational development efforts at the site level.
Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance
- Ensure site operations adhere to EU regulatory standards and internal QA policies.
- Prepare for and lead external audits and inspections (e.g., GMP).
- Collaborate closely with internal and external regulatory stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Communication
- Work fluently in French and proficiently in English, both written and verbal.
- Maintain open communication with executive leadership, technical teams, and external partners.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or similar.
- 10+ years of experience in API or fine chemical manufacturing, preferably with exposure to green chemistry practices.
- Proven track record in industrial site leadership, with a focus on GMP production.
- Strong knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks and quality systems.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Fluent in French; strong command of English is essential.
