Theyre looking for an Embedded Validation & Control Systems Engineer to join their on-site team in Belgium. In this role, youll bridge embedded development and system-level validation, bringing robust control logic to life through rigorous testing frameworks and model-based simulations.
This is a hands-on, interdisciplinary opportunity ideal for engineers who think in systems and design for safety.
What Youll Do:
Develop and execute embedded system validation strategies (unit, integration, and system levels)
Implement and run Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) tests
Design and simulate control systems using MATLAB/Simulink or similar tools
Perform fault injection and stress testing to validate system safety margins
Collaborate with software, hardware, and safety teams to meet functional safety targets
Your Background:
5+ years of experience in embedded software testing, control systems, or real-time systems
Proficiency with HiL/SiL testing frameworks and validation automation
Strong knowledge of model-based design environments (MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow)
Experience with embedded debugging and trace tools (e.g., CANoe, Trace32, JTAG)
Familiarity with control logic implementation and sensor/actuator integration
Bonus Points:
Working knowledge of safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or DO-178C
Experience in automotive ECUs, flight control systems, or industrial PLC platforms
Familiarity with continuous integration systems and testing pipelines
Strong documentation skills and experience in safety audits or assessments
