The position holder will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining systems to ensure compliance with all environmental, health & safety initiatives and local legislation. They will provide timely reports to management on safety incidents, accidents, near misses, and environmental status in line with MAU KPIs. The manager will act as the Functional Safety Lead across the Value Streams in alignment with the Value Stream Manager and safety representatives, including 6S. They will serve as the lead site representative in all communication and coordination with local health and safety authorities.Main Tasks and ResponsibilitiesSafetyDevelop, implement, and maintain hazard identification and risk assessment systems for existing and new processes and equipment.Coordinate and support the closure of safety root causes and risk assessments with value stream safety representatives.Develop, implement, and maintain incident investigation systems including detailed reporting and corrective actions.Ensure statutory inspections and audits are conducted and records are maintained by relevant personnel.Maintain and communicate monthly KPI statistics timely.Manage incidents and accidents, liaising with legal and insurance bodies, and updating senior management.Lead site EH&S improvement, awareness, and engagement programs.QualityDevelop, implement, and maintain EH&S policies, strategies, and goals in compliance with legislative and company requirements, including ISO 14001 and OHSAS 45001.DeliveryFacilitate and lead technical improvements with project, maintenance, and engineering departments.ProductivityPromote safety-productivity awareness, emphasizing that a safer working environment increases productivity.PeopleFoster a safety awareness culture through collaborative leadership, embodying Hiab values.Identify and ensure delivery of H&S training programs, adhering to statutory requirements and promoting safety culture development.EducationRelevant degree in HSE.Country-specific certifications.Experience3-5 years of experience in safety within the technology industry.CompetenciesStrong understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements.Safety-first attitude and thinking.Good communication skills.Desired BehaviorsObservant, perseverant, collaborative influencer.Language SkillsEnglish: Good written and spoken skills.Join Our TeamWe offer a position in a global organization with diverse, challenging tasks that provide excellent opportunities for professional growth.Interested?If you are interested, please submit your application and CV.Hiab (Nasdaq Helsinki: HIAB) is a leading provider of smart and sustainable on-road load-handling solutions, committed to delivering the best customer experience daily.
