HOURS OF WORK:Hours of work include morning shift: Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 4:30pm, and alternating Saturdays from 7:00am to 12:00.pm.LOCATION OF WORK:North York - 1 VacancyConcord - 1 VacancyWORK ENVIRONMENT:This position entails working year round, in both outdoor and indoor elements.WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, lift and carry. The incumbent must be able to regularly and repetitively lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and work regularly in the standing position.The position requires occasional climbing, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Identify and sort various metals- Feed and bale metal material- Assist in performing inventory on materials- General duties involving physical handling of product, materials, supplies and equipment- Perform general housekeeping as required.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:- Minimum of one (1) year experience in general labour, accustomed to repetitive movements and lifting- Minimum of one (1) year of Experience with scrap metal, preferably with non ferrous- Experience and certificate in operating a forklift is a definite asset- Experience working outdoor, year round is an assetCERTIFICATIONS:- Preferably with valid forklift certificate- First Aid and CPR Certificate is an asset- WHMIS certificate is an assetBENEFITS:- Competitive Wage- Weekly direct deposit- Comprehensive Extended Health Care Benefits- Semi-annual safety allowance- Quarterly safety bonus
