Your role

The postdoctoral researcher will be working under the supervision of Professor Stefan Braum. The researcher is working on a third-party funded project funded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) on ''Rule of Law Principles - which model for the Global South?'' The project focusses on the transition of the People''s Republic of Laos into a constitutional state based on the rule of law. The project starts with the assumption that the implementation of rule-of-law principles can only succeed through intercultural dialogue, which is characterised by the mutual recognition of narratives of the legitimation of normative orders.

This leads to the following main tasks for the Postdoctoral researcher:

The PostDoc will primarily coordinate and synthesise ongoing research work so that the results can be used in concrete recommendations for action for the legislator in Laos, and not least for the Luxembourg actors involved in humanitarian cooperation.

We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in Law preferably with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Social Justice (N.B. applications from PhD candidates who will have started their final year of doctoral studies before that date may be considered).
