About The Role About this opportunity As a member ofthe cost management team, you will take part in service deliveryfor real estate projects projects from early cost advice tosettlement of the final account. Responsibilities include but arenot limited to: - Supporting Business Unit Directors in deliveringbusiness objectives. - Delivering high quality services andensuring that cost management deliverables meet Customersrequirements. - Preparing and presenting order of cost estimatesand option studies. - Cost planning. - Cost-in-use studies - studyof the cost of building maintenance. - Advising on and implementingprocurement strategies. - Preparing tender documentation andmanaging the tender process, including designing tender markingschemes. - Preparing bids for services. - Evaluating and reportingon tenders. - Valuing completed work and arranging for payments. -Settling final accounts. - Providing technical advice on legal andcontractual issues relating to construction projects. -Administrating contracts as Contract Administrator or EmployersAgent. - Producing and presenting reports to Customers. - AdvisingDirectors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that mightarise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleedsprofessional indemnity (PI) insurance. As a Gleeds team member, youwill have access to: - Opportunities to develop and grow yourcareer - Employee Assistance Programme About The Candidate Whowere looking for: Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills - 3-7 yearsof cost management experience in major real estate-relatedconstruction projects. - Knowledge of French constructionregulation. - Practical knowledge of construction procurementstrategies, including tendering and contract strategies. -Knowledge of contractual forms of engineering missions, projectmanagement assistance, project management and in particular the MOPlaw and the NFP 03.001. - Understanding of national legislationimpacting on building contracts. - Clear and effectivecommunication skills - both oral and written. - Methodical way ofthinking and approach to work. - Organisational skills and theability to quickly adapt to changing environments. - Excellentproblem, negotiating, finance and numeracy management skills. -Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook,Word, Excel and PowerPoint; - Ability to work as part of a team. -Professional level of English and French. Qualifications - Bac+2 toBac+5, engineering school or equivalent. - Diploma in the field ofConstruction Economics.
