We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance and Administration Officer / Accountant to join a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounting cycle, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Prepare and submit Spanish tax documentation.
- Perform daily accounting tasks: journal entries, reconciliations, expense tracking, and invoice management (with/without VAT, intra-EU, reverse charge, withholding), ensuring alignment with contracts and procurement processes.
- Compile and analyze financial statements.
- Generate ad-hoc reports, support budgeting, and assist in financial planning.
- Execute bank reconciliations, payments, and monitor cash flow.
- Maintain accurate financial records and organized documentation.
- Use advanced Excel skills to manage and cross-check data across multiple databases.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with SAGE200 ERP (mandatory).
- Prior international work experience is valued.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (additional languages are a plus).
- Proactive, reliable, and adaptable, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Able to work independently and manage priorities under pressure.
- Immediate availability preferred.
- Must be a resident of Madrid or the Madrid metropolitan area.
