Freelance Cybersecurity Project Manager Vacancy! - West Flanders
As a Project Manager Cybersecurity, you will be responsible for supervising complex security processes from A to Z and working on current themes such as Zero Trust, Microsoft Security, NIS2 and DORA.
You will be the bridge between customer and technical teams, giving you impact and visibility in a medium-sized organization with a clear growth strategy.
This role offers a perfect balance between structure and autonomy, with room for your own input. By working closely with our internal experts (cybersecurity engineers, solution advisors, ...) and external partners, you combine your technical affinity with strong communication and customer-oriented skills.
Responsibilities:
- You will coordinate cybersecurity projects within various domains such as infrastructure hardening, identity & access management, data security and compliance.
- You translate the expectations of the customers into clear project objectives and schedules.
- Within the project, you ensure the follow-up of the scope, timing, budget and quality. This is where you look to proactively identify risks, incidents and deviations.
- You will be responsible for the preparation and communication of status and financial reports to customers and internal stakeholders.
- You will carry out project kick-offs, interim follow-ups and final deliveries in collaboration with all parties involved.
- Within the Security Business Unit, you will be responsible for the development of our project management approach.
Requirements:
- You have a proven track record as a Project Manager in IT, from which you have gained experience in a context of cybersecurity/infrastructure projects and Microsoft environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Defender).
- Knowledge of the concepts within a Zero Trust architecture (Data, Infrastructure, Networks, Identities, Devices, Applications).
- You have experience with/insight into cybersecurity frameworks and guidelines (NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0, CyFun, CIS Controls, NIS2 directive, DORA regulations).
- You have the necessary technical, interpersonal and organizational skills that are crucial to guarantee a pleasant, structured collaboration as a Project Manager, with both the customer and your team.
- Certification of or familiarity with project methodologies such as Prince2, PMP or Agile is an asset.
