Job Description:
As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions for our clients. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate them into technical architectures that support their long-term goals. This role combines technical expertise, strategic thinking, and client-facing interaction, allowing you to shape the future of IT infrastructure and application solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end technical solutions, architecture, and integrations for a variety of projects, focusing on scalability, security, and performance
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into architectural blueprints
- Lead and guide development teams in the implementation of the designed solutions
- Ensure alignment between business goals and technical delivery, making recommendations and adjustments where necessary
- Review and optimize existing systems to ensure they meet both current and future needs
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and developers
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions
- Collaborate with other architects and technical leads to maintain consistency and coherence across projects
- Manage risk assessment and mitigation related to technology solutions
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar technical leadership role, with a deep understanding of IT architecture, design, and cloud solutions
- Expertise in designing complex systems with a strong foundation in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies
- Experience with a wide range of technologies, including microservices, API design, DevOps, and security best practices
- Proficiency in Java, .NET, Python, or other programming languages
- Experience with Kafka
- Familiarity with database design, distributed systems, and integration platforms
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and ability to collaborate within an agile development environment
- Excellent communication skills and experience presenting technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
- Fluency in English (Dutch and/or French is a plus)
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- TOGAF or similar architecture certification
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools
