We are looking for a Piping Engineer who will join ourWelding and Piping Workshop in Sanguinaro (PR). The Resource willbe responsible for managing the discipline activity and projectteam, ensuring that corporate and project procedures are correctlyimplemented, and that project deliverables are issued according tothe schedule and within approved budget. Duties andResponsibilities: - Knowledge and comment contract contents andrelated technical discipline annexes; in case of discrepancies,mistakes or deficiencies, develop a list of clarifications/commentsto be submitted to the Discipline Lead Engineer and subsequently toPEM; - Prepare technical specifications including applicablestandards, if not included in contract technical documentation; -Management of discipline man-hours, promptly reporting anydisruptions and/or any additional requirements to PEM; - Attendanceto Project Meetings (kick off and project review meeting) as wellas meeting with Client, if requested by PEM; - Produce theDiscipline project deliverables list, including checkingrequirements by the other discipline; - Act as checker and/orapprover for all Discipline deliverables (specifications,datasheets, drawings, reports, etc.); - Verify the engineeringdocuments of Subcontractor and Vendor; - Establish and maintaineffective interface with the other Project Disciplines Teams,Project Management, Client Representative; - Ensure adequate flowof design information between team members; - Examine thecontractual Vendor List with Procurement Department; - Provideassistance during procurement, construction and commissioningactivities; - Provide progress reporting and forecasting input tothe Project Controls Department; - Ensure that working proceduresare followed and that compliance with relevant Quality Systems isachieved; - Ensure deliverables quality in term of technicalcontent, compliance with design criteria, international standardsand contractual requirements; - Monitor of design discrepanciesbetween detail phase and bidding phase (quantities and equipmentdimensions); - Provide Vendor follow-up technical support, ifrequired by other disciplines; - Provide Client follow-up technicalsupport, if required by PEM; - Develop the 3D Model specific areaand support to 3D Model Coordinator (Smart Plant Specialist)according to 3D Model Procedure; - Provide technical support duringbidding phase and man-hours estimation. Requirements: - PipingEngineer with a minimum stay of 3-4 years in the role being able topreside individually the full life cycle of a EPC project. -Consolidate knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects ofPiping Engineering, 3D Model, stress Analysis, Layout and accuratecompetences of techniques and tools. - Proficiency in understandingand working with testing circuits and P&ID. - Experience withCAD tools such as AutoCAD or similar, proficiency in Excel orcomparable spreadsheet software and familiarity with 3D modelnavigation tools like Navisworks or equivalent. - Goodcommunication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills,planning and organizing ability, critical thinking andproblem-solving skills, leadership qualities and efficient teammanagement skills, adaptability and stress tolerance. - Fluent inEnglish.
