We are committed to rescuing land from degradation, enhancing biodiversity and revitalizing rural communities.**Role Purpose**To successfully implement the agreed marketing campaigns within a given geographic area by building strong business relationships with the key stakeholders. This involves using a combination of interpersonal and technical skills to suitably influence the target audience to either purchase or recommend Syngenta products.**Accountabilities**:- Build, maintain and utilise an Area Business Plan for the given geographic area.- Manage an optimum portfolio of key Tier 1 farmers and grow Syngentas market share in the area.- Facilitate positive influence on Tier 2/3 growers working closely with Customer Marketing.- Manage local distribution reps in line with Syngentas overall strategy and direction from KAMs.- Manage other key influencers in the area in line with campaign direction, e.g. SAg, SAC AICC.- Be the local Syngenta contact and look for further growth opportunities in Scotland- Implement campaigns in association with Customer Marketing.- Achieve agreed sales targets for the defined sales area by influencing all parts of the value chain.- Feed back market intelligence and value chain information to relevant members of the Syngenta team via SalesFprce (SF, the Syngenta Customer Relationship Management system).- Maintain good communication and networking across a multi-function business.- Actively contribute to the regional sales team and, where appropriate, campaign teams.- Have a full technical knowledge and commercial perspective of Syngenta and key competitor products.- Operate within all legal and voluntary frameworks.- Fully participate in interim and annual reviews in accordance with Syngenta HR policy.Qualifications**Knowledge, experience & capabilities**Critical knowledge**:- Bachelors degree in Horticulture or Agriculture or equivalent knowledge gained though proven experience.- BASIS qualified (or willing to qualify)- UK market environment.- Agronomy.- Agri-economics and farm practice.- Techno-commercial understanding of UK agriculture- Technical profile of Syngenta & key competitor products.- Knowledge of MS Office.- Communicating with all levels within a business.- Knowledge of business drivers within arable agriculture.**Critical experience**:- Experience of establishing and maintaining successful business relationships- Experience of working in agriculture and understanding the crop growing cycle- Experience of working in and contributing to successful team working.- Proven record of communicating across a wide target audience.- Ideally successful account management or business relationship with the larger-type farms**Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities**:- Building and maintaining relationships- Team Working- Selling- Negotiation- Budgeting- Communication- Time Management- Presentation Skills- Rational persuasion & ability to influence- Critical information seeking- Concern for standards & professionalism- Self-starter- Adaptability in periods of change.- Ability to absorb new information and utilise knowledge for business advantage**Additional Information**Home Based (Scotland)**Primary LocationGBR-Cambridgeshire-FulbournWork LocationsG15-Capital ParkCapital ParkFulbournJobSales
