The Implementation Engineering team at TransPerfect requires technically skilled individuals with a desire to apply their knowledge creating, implementing and maintaining bespoke technology solutions in collaboration with other teams. Successful candidates will work within our Technology group. The Implementation Engineer acts as the primary technical point of contact for our Client Solutions Teams and Internal Solutions Teams, as well as internal Production users.
Position Responsibilities:
Deploy our GlobalLink suite of products on Staging and Production servers
Upgrade/migrate existing installations, including hands-on troubleshooting
Implement and troubleshoot integrations with a variety of external systems
Drive the development and documentation of new processes and take ownership of providing support and training to colleagues from other teams
Periodically audit installations and processes for gaps and improvements, reporting results and recommendations
Receive and act upon tickets created by members of other teams, analyze each request and implement solutions/fixes, researching and presenting possible solutions or actively rerouting the ticket to TransPerfects Support or Development groups if required. Track progress and maintain communication during all phases.Research possible solutions for identified gaps/issues to improve/streamline processes and present and implement these solutions
Support our Product Management team with the creation and rollout of new features and tools, taking an active approach during User Acceptance Testing/Quality Assurance cycles of new product versions
Self train to better understand internal and third party technologies
Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor
Required Skills and Experience:
Superior written and spoken communication skills in English
A set of well-grounded skills relating to at least three of the following: Linux , SQL Databases, Globalization/Translation Memory Systems, Java, Script languages (PHP, Python, PERL, Regular Expressions), Automation Tools (Ansible, Rundeck) or RESTful APIs
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Outstanding time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Resourceful with the drive to learn and improve skills
Proactive, self-starter attitude with desire to own projects with limited supervision
Minimum Bachelors degree or its equivalent
Requires substantial relevant experience years in a similar position in a corporate environment
Desirable skills and experience:
Knowledge of a second language is desirable
Knowledge of NoSQL Databases (MogoDB), Telemetry tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, Sumo), or Microservices
