We are looking for a motivated Front Office Shift Leader to join our pre-opening team.
The role will report to the Front Office Manager.
Conveniently located adjacent to Rome Termini Station and a short distance from the Colosseum, the 238-room Hyatt Regency Rome Central is a contemporary 5-star hotel offering premium business services and one of Italys most dazzling leisure rooftop experiences.
The hotel is also featuring a SPA, 5 food beverages outlets and more than 1000 sqm events venues.
Key responsibilities:
Actively engage in Front Office operations, representing senior management and identifying potential opportunities for improvement
Ensure your Front Office Team delivers a great service, professional attention and personal recognition
Maintain effective communication within the department and escalate issues to the Front Office Manager when necessary
Share daily tasks, communications and procedures identified with the Front Office Manager to the Front Office Team.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations.
Ensure compliance with security, safety and cash handling procedures.
Respond appropriately to guest complaints, solicit feedback and build relationships to drive continuous improvement in guest satisfaction
Conduct routine inspections of the front office and public areas and take immediate actions to correct any deficiencies
Address guest feedback efficiently and professionally
Manage VIP guest interactions and support the Front Office Manager during peak occupancy periods
Assign rooms according to guest request and preferences whenever possible.
Oversee accounting instructions, credit policies and expenses in alignment with revenue targets
Check billing instructions and guest credit for compliance with hotel credit policy and ensure all transactions are handled in a secure manner
Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as manager on duty if needed
Skills and requirements:
Preferred working experience with similar roles in lifestyles hotels.
Strong understanding of hotel operations, front desk procedures, and night audit processes.
Bachelors degree / higher education qualification/equivalent in Hotel Management/ Business Administration, plus 5 years of Front Office/Guest Service experience including supervisory experience
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Fluent in English and Italian; additional languages are a plus.
Familiarity with Opera Cloud is highly desirable.
Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
