We are seeking a skilled Design Manager to join our team in Brussels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and be proficient in using tools such as Comsof, ArcGIS, and QGIS. Knowledge of Marlin software is considered a strong asset. The candidate should be fluent in English and/or Dutch, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. This will be a consultant contract in the beginning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, Comsof) to analyze, manage, and visualize spatial data.
- Develop and maintain GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support projects requiring geospatial analysis.
- Create maps, reports, and presentations to communicate findings effectively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GIS tools and workflows.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in GIS technology.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with GIS software, including ArcGIS and QGIS.
- Knowledge of Comsof and Marlin is a strong asset.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English and/or Dutch (both written and spoken).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
