The person in this position will be responsible for managing global customs data, ensuring compliance, classifying products, leading data teams, and maintaining data accuracy. Generate reports, support audits, collaborate with departments, and improve data processes.
Responsibilities:
- Data Governance and Management
- Manage global customs master data (tariff codes, duty rates, licenses).
- Lead the customs data team.
- Ensure compliance with global customs regulations and company policies.
- Regularly update customs data in SAP and other systems.
- Enhance data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
- Classification and Compliance
- Lead and support global customs data teams.
- Classify products with HS codes.
- Ensure compliance with country-specific regulations.
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Generate and analyse customs data reports.
- Use analytics tools to monitor data integrity.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Support audits with accurate data reports.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with internal departments for data integration.
- Partner with global customs and compliance teams.
- Provide training on data management best practices.
- System and Process Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements in data management processes.
- Support new system implementations and upgrades.
- Maintain data quality through continuous monitoring.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience in customs compliance, trade compliance, or master data management.
- Strong knowledge of Harmonized System codes, tariff classifications, and international trade regulations.
- Team management experience.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and customs management software.
- Proficiency in managing large datasets with excellent attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of global customs rules, especially HTS classification.
- Proven experience in trade compliance and internal auditing.
- Strong experience in building and maintaining global databases of customs master data.
- Extensive experience with SAP GTS.
- Ability to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders.
- Willingness to work 3 days per week from the office (Poznan, Kolorowa 6).
