JOB SUMMARY

Design, customization and BOM creation of high voltage Disconnectors, with focus (but not limited) to the identification and validation of mechanical /electrical parts of the disconnector components according to technical specifications, working with PM in the daily management of design activities. The same activity can be extended also to High Voltage Circuit Breaker.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Create CAD drawings, 3D models, Assemblies as per design standards, customer requirements and ensure release in PLM / ERP system.
2. Mechanical / Electrical validation of various components.
3. Investigation in alternative material or different manufacturing technologies.
4. Redesign of noncritical parts with approval.
5. Cost analysis and manufacturing optimization proposals.
6. Preparing of technical document for internal or external use.
7. Administrative work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, with 5+ years of experience.
3+ years experience in design and development of electro-mechanical products with sound knowledge of design of moulded, sheet metal, machined, cast component design.
Language: English, good level in speaking and writing, German knowledge will be an added advantage.

PREFERRED SKILLS

1. Should have good expertise on product design tools like Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and FEA tools as required for product design and development.
2. Knowledge of design calculations and relevant product standards such as IEC, etc.
3. Analytical skills must include understanding component design/ selection, stresses, fatigue life, component fits and establishing efficient, ergonomic methods of assembly.
4. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, moulding, stamping, casting, welding and soldering.
5. MS office expertise in Excel, others such as Word, PowerPoint.
6. Strong commitment to team environment dynamics with the ability to contribute and follow leadership directives at appropriate times.
