Now Hiring: Manufacturing Manager | Food & Beverage Industry | Malta
Were looking for a forward-thinking Manufacturing Manager to join a fast-paced, innovation-driven manufacturing environment in the food production sector. If you thrive on leadership, continuous improvement, and talent development this could be the perfect role for you.
As Manufacturing Manager, youll report directly to the Head of Manufacturing and oversee operations across one or two sites, leading your teams through structured Manufacturing Excellence programs focused on efficiency, quality, and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and mentor site management teams
- Build and implement talent development plans aligned with future skills needs
- Drive team performance through regular reviews and structured feedback
Operational Excellence
- Deliver against production KPIs, including OEE, labour efficiency, and plan adherence
- Champion lean manufacturing tools (Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping)
- Execute autonomous maintenance, line efficiency programs, and preventive actions
Customer Focus & NPD Readiness
- Ensure production plans align with delivery schedules
- Partner on NPD initiatives to ensure launch readiness across manufacturing
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Uphold safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Ensure full compliance with OHSE and company codes of conduct
Digital & Data-Driven Transformation
- Lead process digitisation, ERP/data integration, and workflow automation
- Enhance data visualisation and reporting to support strategic decisions
Who You Are
- 12+ years experience in manufacturing, with 3+ years in senior leadership
- Proven track record in food or FMCG production environments
- Advanced understanding of lean methodologies and operational excellence
- Skilled in KPI development, root cause analysis, and team development
- Proactive, analytical, and confident in making data-driven decisions
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or related field
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent
- Lean/Six Sigma credentials are a strong plus
