Your responsibilities
- Electrical design of transformers/reactors, including evaluation, selection, and application of normative standards and procedures, mainly for MV and rolling stock applications.
- Collaborate with engineering team members and customers to discuss technical solutions tailored to market requirements.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing locations to ensure transformers are produced according to design specifications.
- Support and supervise complex projects such as testing, installation, and commissioning activities, ensuring top-quality engineering.
- Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis in strategic product development projects.
- Work with the sales team and customers on transformer design and coordinate improvements or updates in the design system with the Design System Manager.
Your background
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of electrical design experience, preferably with dry type transformers and reactors for MV and rolling stock applications, or in electrical machines.
- Good knowledge of dry type transformer manufacturing processes and testing.
- Experience with multiphysics simulation, including cooling, heat transfer, flow, electromagnetics, and electrostatic fields.
- Proficiency in current design tools, including developing dedicated design programs/interfaces (e.g., Matlab, Simulink, Visual Basic).
- Good command of English; Italian is a plus.
- Willingness to undertake short trips (up to 20%).
- Ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis is advantageous.
