The Public Policy Manager will have theresponsibility to help develop and execute government affairsadvocacy objectives and political priorities for Amazon on policyissues in Italy. The Manager will create and execute governmentaffairs strategies to set the agenda with the national and localInstitutions on specific policy issues, included sustainability.This position also includes effectively educating key agencyofficials and their staff on priority policy issues. This positionwill coordinate advocacy work with third parties, including tradeassociations and consultants. The Manager will work collaborativelywith the business and internal operations teams to ensure alignmentbetween business priorities and public policy goals. This positionwill assess and communicate potential government/legislativeactivities back to the business, develop mitigation or enhancementstrategies and positions, and help coordinate external advocacyefforts, outreach programs, and key initiatives in concert withbusiness objectives. This position will report to the IT PublicPolicy Director and work closely with other public policy teammembers to execute on goals. This position will be based in Rome,Italy. - Law or Economic Degree - Rrelevant public policyexperience, a keen working understanding of working on policyissues, and broad government relations strategy experience -Candidate should be fluent in English, both written and orally - Anability and desire to travel is required Masters Degree -Demonstrated ability to be both a substantive issue expert onmatters related to Amazons business and a manager of complexregulatory and political issues, including sustainability matters -Strong written and verbal communication skills and experiencecreating and effectively delivering factual, relevant, and easilyunderstandable talking points and other messaging - Experienceidentifying and understanding key technical aspects pertaining tocorporate operations, understanding business implications,synthesizing information for internal and external customers, andrecommending a best course of action - Demonstrated ability toeffectively and comfortably interact at the highest corporate,legislative, regulatory agency, and other government levels -Ability to maintain the highest personal levels of ethical conduct,confidentiality, and integrity.
