Then you might be the Commercial Business Controller Schiphol Airport Retail is looking for! Schiphol Airport Retail (SAR) offers a wide range of luxury products, including liquor, tobacco, confectionery, electronics, and perfumes cosmetics, in the shopping area behind passport control. The company operates approximately 15 stores at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, each with a unique combination of products and categories. It is one of the largest retailers at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, employing between 150 and 250 people, depending on the season and turnover. The Finance department is responsible for daily (financial) reporting, business control, ICT, security, compliance, and administrative support. The team consists of approximately 4 FTEs. As a Commercial Business Controller, you report directly to the Finance Manager and act as the financial conscience of sales. You play a crucial role in setting up and managing weekly management reports, analyzing sales at store, product, and customer level. You will translate these analyses into a clear and actionable dashboard, which you can partly design yourself. Monitor sales KPIs and handle ad-hoc cost price analysis requests; Shift your focus to in-depth analyses once the reporting structure is in place, such as basket analyses, examining the effects of price reductions on specific brands and their impact on others within the same category; Have direct contact with the management team (MT), presenting your insights and figures in their meetings; Possibly join quarterly Schiphol Group meetings, providing strategic input based on your analyses; This role allows you to make an impact by transforming complex data into valuable insights that drive purchasing and sales strategies. You have a degree in Finance or Business Economics with relevant practical experience; Experience in a financial role with a commercial focus is a plus; You are skilled in reporting tools and dashboard programs, such as Power BI or Excel VBA; You are fluent in English, written and spoken.
