They drive supply and repair activities with suppliers and within the organization to ensure execution excellence at a project level in Avenza.As a Material Expert, you will be responsible for:Managing material supply and/or repair requests related to non-conformities, observations, or service requests raised by Site Quality or Contractors, relevant to materials damaged during construction activities, from POR release to material collection and shipment to contractors or customer sites.Collaborating with Operations, Quality, and Logistics to ensure material readiness aligned with project needs.Working with suppliers and the fulfillment department to expedite material readiness and arrival in Avenza.Releasing POR/PO for the entire Module organization for various modules (PAU).Implementing continuous improvement and digital initiatives for material management.Seeking opportunities for cost savings across the business.To be successful in this role, you will:Have an Associate''s Degree in Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent experience (2+ years).Possess a BSc degree (Engineering preferred) from an accredited university.Have a strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental practices.Be able to analyze problems, identify root causes, and provide efficient solutions.Demonstrate the ability to work effectively across functions in a global-matrix environment.Be fluent in both English and Italian and hold an EU work permit.Have good knowledge of site planning.Possess good ERP knowledge, specifically Oracle Applications.Have knowledge of manufacturing management disciplines, such as production and inventory control, and standard cost systems.Be proficient in standard Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access).Be willing to meet challenging requirements.Preferred: Certifications such as APICS.Work in a way that works for youWe recognize individual differences and offer flexible working patterns, including:Working flexible hours to help you work when you''re most productive.Working with usOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
