Your Impact Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership Mentoring
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for protein analytical techniques, with a focus on liquid chromatography (LC) methods (e.g., HPLC, UPLC, SEC, IEX, RP).
- Mentor and train junior technicians, fostering their technical development and growth.
- Support team leadership by acting as the deputy for the sub-department supervisor.
2. Project Feasibility Technical Improvement
- Evaluate the feasibility of new projects related to protein analytics and provide expert technical assessments.
- Lead internal improvement or technical projects to enhance lab processes and efficiency.
3. GMP Compliance Quality Assurance
- Ensure all laboratory activities adhere strictly to GMP regulations and internal quality standards.
- Review and update analytical documentation, including SOPs, protocols, and reports, to maintain compliance.
4. Advanced Troubleshooting
- Investigate and resolve complex, non-routine technical issues with analytical methods and instruments.
- Develop innovative solutions to ensure the reliability and accuracy of analytical techniques.
5. Representation Communication
- Represent the sub-department during client visits and regulatory audits, clearly articulating technical details and solutions.
6. Hands-On Laboratory Activities
- Participate in practical analytical tasks as needed to maintain expertise and ensure operational excellence.
7. Safety Advocacy
- Promote a safe working environment and actively contribute to safety initiatives and processes.
What You Bring:
1. Education
- A relevant scientific education, such as HLO (Higher Laboratory Education) or a BSc/MSc degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
2. Experience
- A minimum of 35 years of hands-on experience in a (Bio)analytical Quality Control (QC) laboratory operating under GMP standards.
3. Technical Expertise
- Strong practical knowledge and troubleshooting skills in Protein Analytical techniques, particularly LC methods (e.g., HPLC, UPLC, SEC, IEX, RP).
4. GMP Knowledge
- Solid understanding and practical application of GMP principles and regulatory requirements in a pharmaceutical or biotech setting.
5. Communication Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
- Proficiency in Dutch is a valuable asset.
