We are looking for a dynamic Key Account Manager to join our Challenger Brands Unit, which serves as a springboard for new brands in the personal and household products sector aiming to conquer the French-speaking market. We support these brands with professional sales, marketing, and distribution. Responsibilities
- Proven experience in collaborating with retailers, particularly discount retailers, operating under an Everyday Low Price (EDLP) strategy.
- Ability to use data analytics to support decision-making and business strategies.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with a track record of successful negotiations in demanding situations.
- Develop and manage a portfolio of Challenger brands to achieve company objectives.
- Build and maintain long-term, strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure excellent service and support for clients.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports and forecasts to management.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience in Key Account Management or Sales, preferably in the FMCG sector (especially in groceries, supermarkets, or personal/home care products).
- Proven success in building and maintaining successful client relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Fluent in French (both written and spoken) and English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Experience in FMCG, particularly in groceries, supermarkets, or personal/home care brands.
- Deep knowledge of discount retailers and strong sales argumentation skills with a commercial mindsetability to open doors for new business opportunities.
- Experience working in or with French-speaking regions.
- Strong motivation to work for a distributor and the ability to adapt to short-term cycles and brand owner dependencies.
