Electrical Project Manager / Lead Electrical Engineer
As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring design and procurement for the Electrical package
- Design Responsibilities: You and your team will:
- Define project feasibility, objectives, and deliverables,
- Collaborate on feasibility studies and risk assessments,
- Develop conceptual engineering and budget estimates,
- Prepare technical specifications for tenders, procurement, and construction phases,
- Develop engineering drawings,
- Gather field information,
- Review and approve electrical designs and specifications,
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements,
- Select appropriate materials and components for electrical systems,
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet requirements,
- Provide expertise to solve technical issues.
- Procurement Responsibilities: You and your team will:
- Size, quantify, and specify electrical system components (high and low voltage panels, transformers, variable frequency drives, cables, cabling systems, etc.),
- Issue and follow up on electrical equipment tenders,
- Draft contracts, negotiate commercial and legal terms,
- Track order execution,
- Inspect electrical equipment in workshops.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate a team of buyers and design engineers,
- Project Reporting: Ensure reporting to the project team,
- Client Interface: Act as the main point of contact with partners and clients.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the energy or oil & gas sectors and in international projects.
- Proficiency in electrical schematics, electrical engineering standards and regulations (especially IEC standards), and computer-aided design software for electrical installations/electrical schematics (e.g., Caneco, See Electrical, Dialux, Solidworks Electrical, Eplan, Autocad, E3D, Matlab).
- Strong knowledge of electrical risk management.
