Responsible for leading EHS for name of the location(s), ensuring legal compliance and adherence to PPG Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security procedures, standards, and processes. Accountable for ongoing assessment of the EHS Management System implementation to ensure compliance with local legislation and PPG EHS requirements, and for developing a strategy for site investment in EHS-related infrastructure.The role requires some flexibility to travel to different locations within the country.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure EHS legal requirements are communicated and addressed effectively with the local Leadership Team.Implement EHS strategy by developing local plans aligned with leadership and corporate guidelines; provide feedback to ensure sustainability and robustness.Participate in local decision-making as a member of the Leadership Team, supporting local needs.Define and maintain EHS resourcing needs, requesting support from the EHS Country Manager as needed.Assign EHS resources to core and additional activities, establishing SLAs.Collaborate with Process Safety Managers to address process safety requirements.Identify, prioritize, and manage the EHS local budget in alignment with site and country guidelines.Communicate timely about off-site activities and seek necessary approvals.Impact/Scope of ResponsibilityLead and implement EHS compliance across one or multiple sites, developing and maintaining programs and procedures to ensure environmental, health, and safety performance.Recommend policy changes and assess applicability to other sites.Analyze issues at multiple levels, considering unintended consequences.Provide technical expertise and training, acting as a lead or individual contributor.ComplexityOperate independently across 1 or more sites of medium complexity and risk.InnovationAnalyze complex issues, recommend improvements, and develop solutions for challenging problems.Exercise judgment and decision-making in ambiguous situations.Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.CommunicationsEngage with employees and leadership at various levels, providing training and technical advice.Discretion & LatitudeWork independently, planning activities to meet objectives.Education & Technical KnowledgeBachelors or advanced degree in EHS, chemistry, engineering, or related field with relevant experience.Deep knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.Behaviors ExpectedMeet deadlines and scope of initiatives, communicate deviations promptly, and review performance metrics regularly.#J-18808-Ljbffr
