We are seeking an experienced design manager to lead and manage architectural and engineering design activities through concept, basic and detailed design phases of a large pharmaceutical project. The candidate will need to ensure design quality, schedule and budget targets are met and ensure a smooth transition to CQ teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead manage the design process.
- Coordinate design activities with (architectural/engineering) contractors and internal teams. Support Project manager with selecting a design contractor
- Drive BIM setup and management
- Participate in value engineering, optioneering and change management related to design
- Support procurement by reviewing design related specifications and equipment needed
- Ensure all design deliverables are handed over, including as built records, OM manuals and BIM models
Essential Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in a design manager or senior engineering role, ideally within Pharmaceutical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of BIM, design standards and technical review process.
- Familiarity with CQ processes.
- Experience in managing Engineering/architectural firms, design contract and vendor coordination
- Previous involvement in global engineering or large CAPEX projects.
- Experience with filling lines, packaging and cleanroom environments.
