Driver must live within 40 miles of GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN 49501.Driver must have 3 months experience.Drivers on this account will move freight regionally for a single customer, picking up pre-loaded trailers and making deliveries to stores within an eight state areaThe best part about our dedicated driving jobs is the consistency we offer in delivery, schedule, pay, and time off.Most drivers are home every other night and weekends. Along with the store deliveries we also service a specific set of vendors (backhauls) that ship material back to the cross-dockThe JC Penney account in Milwaukee services approximately 100 stores in the WI, MI, IL, IA, MN, and ND markets.Along with the store deliveries we also service a specific set of vendors (backhauls) that ship material back to the crossdock.Drivers will be required to haul freight for other accounts when freight is low at JC Penney this happens often, especially early in the year.The driver will receive dispatch by 0900 for the following day''s delivery. The driver is expected to respond in a timely manner with an appropriate eta.Will be routed to deliver a load on Friday or Monday which will deliver either along route or near their home.Off 34-48 hours on weekend.Can take the truck home as long as there is a secure place to park it.Driver must be comfortable driving a manual transmission No automatics are available for this location.The freight is all driver assist.This involves pulling pallets off of the trailer with a manual jack.This position offers benefits options for an individual or a family, including medical, dental, prescription, life insurance plans and more.
