Managing Director Job Offer COB is an internationalnon-profit organisation located in Brussels, active in the motorinsurance sector, with special attention for the protection ofcross-border road traffic victims. It coordinates the activitiesof: - The Green Card system, whose members are 43 Green CardBureaux representing about 1500 motor insurers in 47 countries inEurope, North Africa and the Middle East. - The Protection ofVisitors system, whose members are the Compensation Bodies,Guarantee Funds and Information Centres applying the European MotorInsurance Directives in the 30 Member States of the EuropeanEconomic Area. COB operates under the United Nations aegis andalso cooperates with the EU Institutions. COB is looking foraManaging Director. The Managing Director (MD) will lead theinternational association in achieving its mission and strategicgoals. The MD is responsible for the overall management,leadership, and operational excellence of the organisation, servingas the key liaison between the COB Members, the Supervisory Board,the Secretariat team and external stakeholders. The MD reports tothe Supervisory Board. Ideal starting date: March 2026 Tasks -Cultivate, develop and execute the strategy in line with theassociation''s mission statement. Coordinate the activities andcooperation between National Bureaux, Compensation Bodies,Guarantee Funds and Information Centres. - Lead, mentor, andinspire a high-performing team of currently 15 persons, fostering aculture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. - Overseedaily operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance and effectivenessin all business processes. - Manage the associations budget,financial performance, and resource allocation. - Build andmaintain strong relationships with Members and key stakeholders.Skills and Qualifications - At least five years leadershipexperience (preferably within the motor third party liabilityinsurance business). - Ability to think strategically and executetactically. - Sound experience in financial management. - Affinitywith legal matters. - Interest in and understanding of thegeopolitical and economic conditions, opportunities and risks.Ability to navigate cross-cultural dynamics. - Strongcommunication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. - Strongaffinity with digital transformation - Fluency in English.Knowledge of other EU languages is a plus.
