Our client is a private equity-backed company specializing in ground equipment services, currently undergoing an exciting phase of growth and transformation. As part of its expansion, the company is seeking a talented Finance Manager (m/f/x) to take full responsibility of its financial operations in Belgium (Flemish Brabant).
Position Summary
The Finance Manager (m/f/x) will be responsible for the financial activities of the company in Belgium, including accounting, tax compliance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and treasury management. This hands-on role requires a balance of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and operational execution to support business objectives and meet private equity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting & Tax Compliance
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to local and international standards.
- Manage relationships with external consultants for tax filings, audits, and statutory compliance.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and tax documentation.
- Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax advisors, and external accountants.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
- Deliver clear, data-driven financial insights and reporting for management and private equity stakeholders.
- Track and analyze key operational and financial KPIs, providing recommendations to drive performance.
- Support strategic initiatives.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and funding needs.
- Identify opportunities to enhance treasury processes.
Who are we looking for?
- Master degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in controlling or finance management.
- Fluency in Dutch and English
- Strong track record in managing both accounting and FP&A functions.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Excel and first experience with ERP.
- Self-starter with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
