In the Financial Services (FS) industry, risks and regulations go beyond compliance. ESG / Sustainable Finance regulatory requirements impact all aspects of financial institutions. The evolving environment, strategies, and technology-driven client services create new opportunities and risks, including those related to ESG (Environment, Social, Governance). Helping clients navigate their Sustainable Finance journey is a key priority.
As an ESG / Sustainable Finance Manager/Senior Manager , you will identify and prioritize sustainability issues, assist clients in setting goals aligned with their sustainability vision, and help implement processes, controls, systems, and dashboards for consistent and accurate reporting.

Your impact
- Lead projects focusing on ESG implementation, including ESG processes, controls, non-financial reporting (e.g., CSRD), ESG data, frameworks, and reporting dashboards.
- Facilitate communication among project stakeholders to enable ESG activities across front and back office, IT, risk, etc.
- Engage in client discussions to understand ESG impacts, operational implications, and shape target operating models and processes.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand and adapt to new regulations and their impacts on governance, risk management, processes, organization, people, and technology.
- Advise clients on risk and regulatory agendas, helping operationalize these within their daily operations.
- Develop holistic strategies to build trust, implement sustainable strategic decisions, and improve efficiency.
About you
- Master''s degree in economics, business engineering, law, or relevant field; ESG/Sustainable Finance background is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in non-financial risk auditing, risk assessment, or process assurance in sustainability within financial institutions.
- Concrete experience in ESG and Sustainable Finance (disclosures, taxonomy, risk indicators, etc.).
- Experience in credit risk consulting is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and client-oriented approach.
- Team player with initiative-taking mindset.
- Fast learner, open to challenges, eager to develop further.
- Fluent in Dutch and/or French, and English.
- Willing to learn new technologies, including RPA and data analytics.
