Supply Network planning is a key role in the IBP process, enabling operations to meet production requirements in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. The Supply Network Planner provides essential information for the IBP cycle, ensuring the supply network is properly planned to meet internal and external customer needs.The role typically involves a tactical planning horizon of 1 to 15 months, with a quarterly or semi-annual strategic plan covering 36 months, both in monthly buckets.As this process is new to the organization, it presents an exciting challenge for the incumbent to educate the organization on the benefits of Supply Planning. The role requires comfort in managing conflict and change at various organizational levels, supported by the Supply Chain Manager, BU/Opco Operations Director/Manager, and Global IBP Team.The scope of the role depends on the number of manufacturing plants and the complexity of the product portfolio.The Supply Network Planner collaborates closely with the Production & Material Planner. Depending on organizational size, these roles may be combined, merging responsibilities of supply, production, and material planning.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESSupply Network Planning: Prepare accurate supply network plans for 1-15 months, considering capacity, raw materials, and formulation optimization. Develop strategic 36-month plans, identify constraints, and create scenario analyses to optimize supply chain costs and customer service. Manage deadlines, prepare content for supply reviews, monitor progress, and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure supply meets demand.Inventory & Working Capital Management: Define and implement inventory targets, manage stock levels, and coordinate replenishments, aging, obsolescence, and waste reduction efforts in collaboration with Demand, Planning, Operations, and Logistics teams.Monitoring & Analysis: Maintain master data, monitor trends, identify sales risks and opportunities, and coordinate activities related to supply constraints. Track KPIs to identify improvement areas and stay updated on planning best practices.
