As the NPP Tender Manager, the primary mission of this role is to manage and lead your team in the preparation of bids for Nuclear Service Offers. As the leader, you will have an overview of the enquiries received, bid preparation status, submission status, and manage closely the follow-up topics related to the bids. You will review and refine the process management for the team and ensure timely coordination with all required stakeholders such as service center managers, customer service sales, engineering, R&D, marketing, legal, and regulatory teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of tendering engineers fostering collaboration and a culture of excellence in bid preparation. Prioritize multiple bids, consistently meet challenging deadlines, and effectively assimilate contractual, technical, and commercial information in order to provide a highly responsive level of service to meet client requirements.
- Bid Management: Oversee the preparation of bid submissions for the global Nuclear Service Sales Portfolio ensuring timely submission of bids. Participate in tender clarification meetings as required by internal and external customers. After tender award, support the preparation of contract handovers to the project team.
- Process Management: Review current processes and tools, identify process efficiency steps, and implement. Look towards digital solutions to improve team efficiency. Ensure lessons learned are captured by participating in tender debriefs to collate data to trend reasons for successes and failures.
- Collaboration: Liaise with Sales, Operations, and technical Subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop tender strategies and value propositions in order to finalize bid content, ensuring all perspectives are represented. Ensure that the relevant tender engineers have a close working relationship with services sales and key internal stakeholders.
- Quality Control: Ensure all submissions meet rigorous standards of accuracy, professionalism, and compliance, with a focus on detail.
- Risk Management: Identify risks, opportunities, mitigation, and continuous improvement plans.
- Maintain knowledge of approved company vendors, estimating methods as well as project execution procedures.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Electrical engineering degree (Power Electronics, Electrotechnics).
- Strong work experience in UPS Business, with a strong focus on service and maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills in English (other languages such as German will be a plus).
- Well-developed computer skills and MS Office.
