We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for a Senior DevOps Engineer with focus in the areas of Test & Cloud Application Deployment. The role is permanent position based in Zrich Canton including some home office allowance.Your role: Plan, design, implement & test application deployment strategies. Plan & execute application operations. Develop solutions with regards to the automated deployment of production & the testing environment. Evaluate & integrate appropriate tools for monitoring, tracing & diagnosing applications. Review & analyze product & system specifications & provide technical recommendations. Assist test automation with appropriate infrastructure solutions. Partake in the development of cross infrastructure container orchestration. Assist in designing backward compatibility & roll back strategy. Guide & train teams on best practices regarding container deployment, testing & management. Provide operations support to team members.Your Skills & Profile: At least 5 years of professional experience in DevOps Engineering. Skilled in deploying & securing container-based systems such as Docker & Kubernetes on private & public clouds. Good exposure in the areas of Testing & Cloud Application Deployment. Experience in programming &/or scripting languages, e.g. C#, Python, Shell. Good expertise in the area of Infrastructure as Code & ideally also in Azure DevOps. A sound knowledge of large-scale distributed systems, operating systems (especially Linux), general networking, cloud infrastructure, system monitoring & operating CI/CD pipelines. Familiar with phase models & agile methods.
