Taylor Hopkinson is supporting the search for a SeniorEnvironmental Engineering Manager on behalf of a major Europeanutility-scale renewable energy company. The organisation is activeacross multiple markets and specialises in the development,construction, and operation of large-scale onshore wind and solarPV projects. Responsibilities: - Analyse and interpret Italianenvironmental regulations and constraints, ensuring regulatorycompliance across all phases of project development, construction,and operation. - Lead the preparation, coordination, and qualitycontrol of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), ensuringalignment with national and European legislation. - Oversee thework of external environmental consultants, ensuring accuracy andtimely delivery of environmental reports, studies, and riskassessments. - Coordinate communications with regulatoryauthorities, environmental organisations, and other keystakeholders to maintain open, transparent, and constructiverelationships. - Provide technical expertise during the permittingprocess and public consultations. - Contribute to strategicplanning by identifying environmental risks and mitigationstrategies early in project development. - Support internal teams(development, permitting, construction, and operations) by advisingon environmental best practices and legal obligations. - Monitorand manage environmental compliance during project execution andoperation, including supervision of environmental monitoring plansand reporting obligations. Requirements: - Degree in EnvironmentalEngineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline. -Minimum 7 years of experience in environmental management forrenewable energy projects, particularly in onshore wind and solarPV. - Demonstrated experience leading or supporting EIAs andmanaging regulatory processes in Italy. - Strong understanding ofItalian environmental legislation and permitting requirements forenergy infrastructure. - Experience working with and managingexternal consultants and third-party service providers. - Abilityto collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complexenvironmental issues clearly. - Prior experience managing ormentoring small environmental teams is highly desirable. - Exposureto European environmental regulations or projects in other EUcountries is a plus. - Fluency in Italian and English is essential.Spanish is a plus.
