It is createdfollowing a request from the European Commission to one of theseorganisations. Manufacturers, other economic operators, orconformity assessment bodies can use harmonised standards todemonstrate that products, services, or processes comply withrelevant EU legislation. Function Two years ago, the HarmonisedStandards Compliance (HSC) unit was created to enhance the qualityof draft standards. In this role, you will report directly to theAccount Manager and work alongside two colleagues. The four mainareas of activities are the following: Enforce the correctimplementation of the CEN and CENELEC rules for drafting harmonizedstandards by: performing assessment on draft Harmonized Standardscontent against predefined criteria, to support their compliancewith European Legislation. engaging with standard drafters to raiseawareness on rules and best practices and encourage theirapplication. leading training and webinars on the rules and newaspects in the harmonized standards development processes. Proposesolutions to diverse issues (incl. recommendations to relevantgoverning bodies) to enhance the quality and the timeliness ofHarmonized Standards: analysing the background of the case; factfinding; and; cross-checking sources; keeping abreast of thetechnical and regulatory activities to support the TechnicalBodies. Build relationships and networks: Coordinate and cooperatewith the European Commission and its contractors to smoothen thedevelopment of Harmonized Standards. Develop essentialrelationships with colleagues from other units. Preparecomprehensive reports and documentation for submission to relevantstakeholders (Technical Boards, Administrative Boards, PresidentialCommittee, other units, etc). Contributes to the continuousimprovement of the digital transformation of the Harmonizedstandards development process What will your work life look likewith your team and your manager?
