We are looking for you The Senior Accountant who plays a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and providing vital support to the Financial department of BNP Paribas Personal Finance. The position youre applying for You will be part of the Finance department and report to the Head of Accounting You are responsible for executing administrative tasks and giving support within PFNL procedures and guidelines, in order to ensure a correct insight of the financial situation and presenting this in all kinds of reporting. The main focus of the Finance department is on financial- and management reporting (both for Group as for the Regulators), internal control and strategic support towards the organization. Not only in the preparation of the reports but also in the oversight and respective raising of alarm on any potential risks and/ or issues. In addition, the department is tasked in managing the Assets, Liabilities Management Treasury activities for PF NL (eg. solvency and liquidity ratios). Your responsibilities General Ledger Accounting: Processing general ledger entries with precision. Managing master data in Coda, including new ledgers and creditors. Timely processing of accruals, prepayments, and payroll postings. Reconciliation: Reconciling balance sheet accounts and intercompany transactions. Executing payroll reconciliations with a focus on reliable and documented results. Permanent Control: Assisting the Permanent Controller in updating processes, risk analyses, and control forms. Performing control tasks with a focus on qualitative documentation. Work Instructions: Keeping relevant work instructions up to date. Adjusting documentation after process changes. Ensuring high-quality documentation through regular reviews. Project Work: Active involvement in projects impacting the Accounting department. Proactively identifying improvement opportunities and effectively communicating with the accounting team and the head of accounting. Leading financial projects aimed at efficiency, cost savings, and supporting growth. Implementing and communicating accounting policies and controls. Independently handling internal and external queries in accordance with accounting principles. Who you are You have a Master in Accounting or in a related study At least 6 years of experience in the financial sector, preferably in an international environment. Relevant experience within Accounting. Fluent in Dutch and English, both oral and in writing. French preferably. Strong IT skills (Excel). Knowledge of IFRS, Dutch GAAP and CODA.
