Experience level: 5+ yrs About the job As a (senior) software engineer you are working with the other engineers on your agile team and the other agile teams in the same sub-domain. You work on designs and architecture with our software and system architects, and take into account security and safety aspects in your code and that of your team. Fire Control Systems The Above Water Warfare Fire Control System (AWW-FCS) protects ships and other units from above-water threats. These threats are becoming faster, smarter and more complex. With a combination of a new generation of sensors and an intelligent Fire Control System, it continuously assesses which methods are best suited to engage the detected threat. A Fire Control System combines the radar and the intelligent algorithm which is designed to assist a ranged weapon system in targeting, tracking and hitting its target. About you Do you have a passion for technology, and do you want to work on radar drivers or complex algorithms? The prerequisite for this is an HBO or WO diploma in the field of (technical) informatics or computer science. We expect a broad experience with the C++ programming languages and with the development of real-time software. You are creative, open and flexible and you are a team player. In addition, you are result-oriented, show your initiative and communicate in a clear way. A good knowledge of the Dutch and English language is necessary for a good job-filling. After that, it is 40% to 60% remote work with the possibility of working with your colleagues at a location near you.
