About the Role The Inside Sales Representative develops new business and maintains existing business within an assigned territory, working closely with outside sales to achieve profitable growth. The Inside Sales Representative plays a fundamental role in achieving our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives by advancing the sales process while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Achieve or exceed territory performance goals through a combination of lead generation for new business and qualification of new trade lanes or products with current customers; completes a minimum of 25 outbound calls per day to ensure appropriate coverage. Qualify new business opportunities to ensure alignment of commercial objectives, financial objectives and customer needs; communicate sizeable business opportunities to the outside sales executive for follow-up; provide market intelligence to the commercial manager. Complete customer quotation requests; follow up systematically to secure bookings or resolve any outstanding issues necessary to advance the sales process; communicate with the outside sales executive as appropriate to ensure customer requirements are met. Ensure a smooth sales process by communicating and seeking guidance and approval from sales management on rates when necessary. Complete export booking/and/or CCP''s on business you have secured directly. Build rapport and establish long term relationships with customers. Expedite the resolution of customer questions, problems or complaints to ensure satisfaction. Qualifications 2-5 years'' quota carrying sales experience; logistics industry preferred. Goal-oriented and ambitious, with capacity and drive to achieve and exceed quotas. Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota and ability to build productive, mutually beneficial relationships with customers. Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels; strong collaboration and teamwork. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively. Strong phone presence; excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Vanguard is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
