The CO2 Battery is a standardized, modular productwhich uses off-the-shelf industrial components withwell-established, global supply chains, enabling Energy Dome torapidly scale-up and accelerate widespread adoption of thetechnology in key global markets. Energy Dome offers the CO2Battery to the market both as a technology supplier (OriginalEquipment Manufacturer) and under an energy storage-as-a-serviceor Build-Own-Operate (BOO) business model. The BOO arm isexperiencing significant growth with projects moving into operationphase, as well as a significant backlog of projects in developmentand under contracting. This key service line will cater tocustomers that prefer not to own and operate CO2 Batteriesthemselves, but prefer to enter into long term capacity offtakeagreements with Energy Dome. Our team is constantly growing, and atthe moment we are looking for a motivated and passionate ProjectDevelopment Specialist to join our team and support developmentactivities for our projects in Italyone of Energy Domes mostpromising growth markets. This role offers an ideal entry pointinto our BOO (Build-Own-Operate) organization and a uniqueopportunity to launch your career in the clean energy sector. Youwill work closely with cross-functional teams and externalstakeholders to support the advancement of our innovative CO2Battery projects. Location: Milan, Italy Travel: Up to 15% toproject sites Languages: Fluent in Italian and English (mandatory)Reports to: Project Development Manager Key Responsibilities -Support internal teams (Legal, Grid, Commercial Engineering, PowerMarkets, Planning, Structured Finance) and external advisors inassessing greenfield and co-development opportunities, ensuringalignment with company pipeline targets. - Coordinate third-partydevelopers and service providers in preparing and submittingproject applications to relevant authorities for permits andauthorizations. - Prepare documentation and support integration ofmaterials and responses required during the permitting process. -Assist the Project Development Manager in maintaining updateddashboards to track permitting timelines, budgets, cash flows, andthe financial impact of potential risks. - Collaborate withdevelopers and local authorities to manage environmental mitigationrequirements. - Act as a direct point of contact for publicauthorities, municipalities, landowners, and other stakeholdersinvolved in the authorization process. - Contribute to preliminaryproject assessments, including constraint mapping, useful areaevaluation, power estimation, grid connection assumptions, andidentification of relevant authorization pathways. - Support thebidding process by analyzing strategy options and coordinating withinternal stakeholders. - Conduct benchmarking activities anddevelop quantitative models to support strategic evaluations.Qualifications - Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering,Economics, or a related field - 12 years of experience in projectdevelopment, investment analysis, or consulting - Strong commercialacumen and ability to understand business case driversbothquantitative and qualitative - Basic technical understanding tocontribute to risk assessment and development planning - Excellentverbal and written communication skills in both Italian and EnglishInterpersonal skills - A team player and strong communicator whocan quickly alternate between working autonomously and in widerteams - Ability to positively influence stakeholders and buildtrust - Entrepreneurial self-starter who can drive commercialopportunities and is comfortable working in a rapid scale-upenvironment - Strong commercial awareness - Open minded, withstrong communication skills and ability to work with all levels ofan organization to get things done. - Ability to survive and thrivewhen challenged with ambiguity and competing priorities Benefits -Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses, including joiningEnergy Domes stock option plan. - An exciting and inclusive workenvironment fostering creativity and innovation.
