The figure, placed in the Financial Department reporting to the Accounting Responsible, will manage all the accounting functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all accounting functions within the company
- Manage all the month-end close and financial reporting, including Revenue, AP (+ageing), and GL
- Ensure month end and year-end closings are reliable and performed within required deadlines (IFRS and each Local accounting standards), with strict deadlines
- Coordination with external consultants for fiscal declarations and needs.
- Assist auditors.
- Preparation of yearly Financial Statements
- Participate in the accounting reporting process
- Manage specific internal control environment cycles and managing internal control.
- Journal entries and accruals
- Intercompany control
- Assets and depreciation registration
PROFILE:
- Bachelor in Business Administration, Economics or similar
- Experience at an international accounting department or Big Four or similar outsourcing department.
- Experience working for an international environment cross-functional and networked organization and monthly reporting experience.
- Superior communication skills in English , both spoken and written, to effectively address and influence all levels within the organization. Portuguese or Italian will be consider a plus
- SAP knowledge
- Proficiency Excel
- Local Portugal rules and IFRS. ITA GAAP (desirable)
- Retail accountancy experience (desirable)
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Flexible and adaptable to changing work demands
