We are looking for a freelance Solution Architect in the region of Brussels. TasksDesign and develop scalable and secure solutions that meet customer needs and business objectivesDevelop the future roadmap of these solutions, accounting for change and evolution, in line with product roadmapsWork with product owners, enterprise and other architects, business stakeholders and software engineers to understand and solve difficult technical problemsDevelop and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, system specifications, interfaces, data models and flowsDocument requirements, decisions, and communicate them effectivelyCollaborate with other technical leads, other domain architects and enterprise architecture to ensure software and system designs are implemented efficiently, effectively and with consistencyWork to establish standards, policies, and practices; following architectural governance project governance to deliver robust and reusable services and solutions What you bring to the teamExperience working as a hands-on Solution Architect in a large organisation, regularly taking responsibility for difficult technical decisions and seeing them through to completionAbility to deliver, document and articulate complex architectures for the program at all levels: data, integration, application and securityExperience in delivering solutions within large-scale program deliveriesDeep knowledge of software solution architecture concepts, practices and toolsPractical knowledge of cloud design patterns and servicesExperience in breaking down a monolith into MicroServices oriented architecturesKnowledge of current state-of-the-art for software service development and deliveryAble to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong awareness of cyber-security and information governance; good understanding of privacy by design and security by design principlesExperience within the automotive industry or supply chain is considered a plusExpert level architecture documentation and diagramming techniques (e.g. ArchiMate, UML, wireframing, etc.)Experience with cloud architecture and services based on AWS (Azure is a plus)Experience in Bizzdesign is considered as a plusFormal data modelling and design techniques, for relational and NoSQL database technologiesExperience working in a container-based and/or serverless environment, hosted on public/private cloud (AWS EKS, Kubernetes and OpenShift preferred)Experience working with Data & integration platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Workato, Qlik, etc.)Experience with both request driven as event driven architecturesGood understanding of CI/CD concepts, including Version Control, branching models, appropriate quality control techniques, secrets management, and automated deployments
