Job Description: As a Senior Tender Manager, you willsupport and lead the commercial department in Norwich, UK, andNaples, IT, managing offshore geophysical and geotechnical tenders.You will play a key role in securing profitable projectopportunities by preparing and submitting client-focused proposalsunder the guidance of the Commercial Manager, to whom you willreport. Additionally, you will provide mentorship and guidance tojunior team members. Your expertise in marine and landsurveyingincluding geophysical, geotechnical, environmental, andUXO surveysas well as offshore construction support services, willbe crucial. Additionally, you will uphold our Health, Safety, andQuality values and procedures in all aspects of your work. KeyResponsibilities: - Examine tender documentation, includingoperational provisions, technical specifications, and commercialrequirements. - Liaise with suppliers, partners, and internaldepartments to define deliverables. - Define and propose technicalsolutions, methodologies, execution strategies, and draft workschedules. - Perform cost calculations and project budgeting. -Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals in line withclient requirements and company guidelines. - Engage with clientsthroughout the bid cycle, attending meetings as needed. - Maintainthorough records throughout the bidding process for approval,traceability, and project handover. - Participate in businessdevelopment activities, including social media marketing andconference/trade show attendance. - Manage relationships withcustomers during the tender clarification stages. - Develop andexecute tender strategies to meet client requirements. - Overseedocument management, ensuring proper distribution, collection, andarchiving of tender-related materials. - Conduct peer reviews foreach tender to ensure quality and accuracy. - Collaborate withTechnical, Contract, and Procurement Departments on: - Methodstatements and technical solutions - Service/subcontractorselection and contract finalization - Work with the Planning &Risk Manager to assess tender risks. - Lead and mentor junior teammembers, providing guidance and expertise to enhance the efficiencyand effectiveness of the tendering process. Who Were Looking For:- A bachelors degree or equivalent professional qualifications. -Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role (tender, bid, orproposal manager) within an offshore/marine environment. - Priorknowledge or experience with geotechnical or geophysical tenders ispreferred. - Strong deadline management skills with a flexible andcommercially driven approach. - Attention to detail and a curiousmindset. - Persuasive with excellent presentation and leadershipskills.
