Automotive CMF DesignerIn a nutshellThe position will be part of our Milan Aesthetic Research Center (MARC), one of Huawei Research Centers committed to enhancing the quality of Huawei products by creating a strong design ecosystem. As an automotive CMF designer, you will play an active role in the automotive design team, collaborating in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment. You will work closely with experts in Product, User Experience, Brand, and Retail Design to shape the future of Huawei products and consumer experiences globally. The studio is located in Milan, Italy, one of Europes most dynamic and international cities.Type of Contract: 1-year temporary contract with our outsourcing partner Randstad Italia, with the possibility of long-term employment afterwards.Main ResponsibilitiesGenerate automotive CMF projects, actively participating in all stages of the process to create competitive and successful solutions.Apply comprehensive knowledge of design activities, working from initial concepts through to production-ready designs, ensuring high-quality outcomes.Bring strong creative enthusiasm and attention to detail, focusing on refining design solutions and exploring innovative ideas.Collaborate with external design resources to enhance team capabilities and participate in joint projects and partnerships.Communicate and present design concepts effectively, both internally and externally, ensuring clear understanding.Develop a solid knowledge of the Chinese automotive market.Be available to travel to China or other project-related locations a few times per year to support projects, conduct benchmarking, and engage with the HQ design team.Required SkillsA Bachelors degree or higher in Design.At least 2 years of experience in design, gained within a top-level agency or an in-house design team.Complete independence in generating design proposals, from inspiration moodboards to rendering, call outs, application on physical models, and production follow-up.Proficiency in 2D/3D design techniques, including photo editing and rendering.Knowledge of Blender for 3D exchange and rendering.Proven record of following up physical models, both in small or full scale.Interest in and experience with AI tools to improve design quality and efficiency.A strong portfolio demonstrating design solutions across different sectors.Proven ability to handle suppliers and consultants to deliver high-quality results.Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.A team player who can also work independently, with a positive and proactive attitude.Fluency in written and spoken English.Knowledge and understanding of the Chinese car market is a plus.Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment.What We OfferAn exciting opportunity to work in a leading and rapidly growing multinational technology company, with challenging work and a competitive salary package.Privacy StatementWe are committed to protecting your privacy following local legal data privacy legislation.
