Our school community is made up of 4,250 pupils of 60different nationalities and over 500 members of staff from MemberStates and beyond. Pupils are taught in twelve main languagesections. Our School aims to offer innovative and inclusiveteaching programmes that achieve excellent academic results.Information about the European Schools in general is available athttps://www.eursc.eu/en The Intensive Support Assistant providesspecialized support to secondary special needs pupils in aclassroom setting working closely with the subject teachers. He/shewill assist the teachers during lessons and breaks. He/she willsupervise the SEN student during his/her school day. He/she will beinvolved in the specific support given to the pupil and thefollow-up of this individual support. He/she will work closely withthe support coordinator, class teachers and support teachers.He/she will participate in all school activities and meetingswithin the framework of his/her position. Profile: Command of theEnglish or French or German or Spanish or Polish languageequivalent to that of an educated native speaker; Appropriatediploma: diploma for teaching Support in accordance with theregulations of the Ministry of Education (diploma subject toinspector validation); Minimum of 2 years professionalexperience in supporting pupils with special educational needsand/or as a teaching assistant; Contribution in closecollaboration with the subject teachers to the pupils assistancewith respect to their specific needs in their daily school routine; Recent experience in secondary education; Proven experience ofexcellent teaching practices and teamwork; Ability to teach mixedclasses using effective differentiation; A high level ofprofessionalism and attention to student wellbeing; Willingnessto contribute to the life of the secondary school. Preference willbe given to a candidate who: Has teaching/assistance experiencein a European or international school; Incorporates newtechnologies as a teaching tool; Undertakes to teach/assist fromthe lower secondary cycle to the baccalaureate cycle (pupils aged11 to 18); Is fluent in another European language.
